Over the course of his career, Timothy Broas has proven a versatile trial attorney, with a series of notable achievements in the areas of commercial law, securities litigation, and white collar criminal defense. A graduate of the College of William & Mary School of Law and a former judicial clerk in the New Jersey Supreme Court, Timothy Broas spent his first 15 years practicing at law firms in New York and Washington, D.C., including Conboy Hewitt O’Brien & Boardman; Whitman & Ransom; and Anderson, Hibey & Blair.
In 1995, he undertook his current role as a Partner at the Washington, D.C., office of Winston & Strawn LLP, where he represents clients in a wide range of matters involving white collar criminal defense and internal investigations, securities and financial regulation, and more. Representing individuals and corporate entities alike, Timothy Broas also handles cases in the product liability, intellectual property, and class action arenas at Winston & Strawn. Listed in the Best Lawyers in America for the last four years, Mr. Broas has also been honored as a Washington, D.C., Super Lawyer on four separate occasions and as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
