Trees Instead gives bereaved individuals the opportunity to memorialize their loved ones through tree dedication, thereby creating a thriving space in nature to visit and remember. Marc Shmuger also supports charities as diverse as Los Angeles Legal Aid Association, Richard Bonham Maasai Land Preservation Trust, and The Go Campaign.

A noted film executive, Marc Shmuger has served as Chairman of Universal Pictures and Executive Vice President of Marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Film Studies from Wesleyan University and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and children.
