Initial employment as carpenter, foreman, field engineer, assistant superintendent and Project Superintendent. Relocated to Florida in 1981, returning to Virginia in 1987
§ October 2008- April 9, 2010 Additions & Renovations Brynn Marr Hospital, Jacksonville, NC.
Administrative Addition with new Façade, new Patient wing addition to rear of existing building and a 10 Phase renovation to patient care, classrooms, gym and Kitchen-dining.
This was an occupied Mental Health facility with different patient groups as well as treating both acute and residential patients. Scheduling and Phasing was critical. The entire kitchen and dining services was renovated during this project. There was no onsite storage area and very limited parking. A completely new wet Fire sprinkler system was installed and was it had to be fully functional for each renovation phase prior to occupancy.

May 2005- November 2006 - Project Superintendent for Batten and Shaw, Inc. Nashville, TN
§ Project: Started in the Special Projects Division, Project superintendent for first large HCA ADA Remediation project at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.
§ Promoted to General Superintendent for ADA Division. Extensive weekly travel to various ADA projects in Idaho, Texas, and Florida to train and assist superintendents in ADA remediation requirements, scheduling shutdowns, schedule subcontractors and generate punch list.
§ Transferred to Medical Division in July of 2006 to help eliminate weekly travel.
§ Mid July - early September 2006 - Southwestern Medical Center, Lawton, OK Oncology renovations. Removed existing Linier Accelerator and CT equipment demoed and prepped area for new Accelerator in 4 weeks. Completed project in less than 90 days including new control room & equipment, new roof top air handlers and HVAC system, new casework, ceilings, painting and floor covering. Passed local and state inspections first round.
§ Sept.-Nov. 2006 - Special Projects Tech Refresh Division. Traveled to locations in Texas, Florida and South Carolina to obtain Permits for Tech Refresh projects.
2004 – April 2005 Construction Manager for Arrington Manufacturing, Martinsville, VA
§ Project: Virginia Motor Sports Tech Center, a teaching and training facility in partnership with Patrick Henry Community College, for fabrication of racecars, race trucks and engine building in accordance to NASCAR requirements and specifications.
1995 - 2002 General contractor/ Subcontractor for William A. Berry & Son Construction Managers, Memorial Hospital, Martinsville, VA
§ Infrastructure additions, hyperbaric department, and demolition of several phases, finishes in other phases of ongoing renovation of hospital.

Projects: Commercial, industrial, and hospital construction. Numerous in house projects with Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County including code and compliance upgrades to existing facility.

§ 534 space, two-level parking garage. Eight (8) month schedule completed within six months.
§ Phase 2] Two-story vertical expansion and renovation to the existing first and second floor of the Womens Pavilion. One story vertical expansion and renovations to the third floor.
§ Phase 3] Relocation of main utilities in court in preparation of planned future addition. This included new underground transformer vault and switchgear relocation.
§ Resigned from Centex-Rogers to be closer to home spend more time with my family. Job was in excellent condition and ahead of schedule.

Project Superintendent at Sailfish Point Project, Stuart, FL
§ $6.0 million golf and country club. After completion, relocated to finishing superintendent for Phase II Condominium project at same project site consisting of two each 200’ x 600’ four-story condos. The Sailfish Point property owner requested this assignment.
