An experienced executive with a background in law, Matt Mohwinkel most recently served as a National Business Development Executive with Xerox Corporation in New York. Matthew Mohwinkel joined the Xerox team after leaving Deloitte LLP, where he functioned as a National Business Development Director. At Deloitte, he sold financial advisory consulting services to prominent businesses and law firms. He constructed a team of 15 knowledgeable business development managers to direct the growth of the firm and assumed a leadership role in incorporating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act into the firm’s international business development plan.

Matthew Mohwinkel holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from St. Olaf College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. In addition, he participated in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s Information Technology Security Course Instructor program. Intent on giving back to the community, Matt Mohwinkel dedicated his free time to soup kitchens as an undergraduate and participated in food drives that benefited Meals on Wheels as a law student. Today, he remains an active philanthropist and donates to People Planet Partnership and Imagine One Day. When not busy with work, he enjoys keeping active by playing flag football, a passion he developed during his days at St. Olaf.


Objectives

Matt Mohwinkel has spent his career at the intersection of law and information technology. He graduated from Northfield, Minnesota’s St. Olaf College in 1989 with a B.A. in History and Philosophy. Mr. Mohwinkel then attended law school at the University of Iowa where, in addition to earning his J.D. in 1992, he earned certification in the most popular legal IT platforms, Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. During law school, Mr. Mohwinkel prosecuted white-collar crimes as a Legal Intern/Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Cedar Rapids office of the U.S. Attorney. Matt Mohwinkel later spent time as an instructor in electronic information security for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Atlanta.`

Matt Mohwinkel's first career stop was at MCI Telecommunications, once a global leader in the telecom industry. As Systems Integrity Director, he was responsible both for helping to secure the company's IT infrastructure and for managing global accounts managers who sold voice, data, and information security products and services. MCI gave Mr. Mohwinkel a Network Services Hero award for his electronic investigative work in 1997. In 1999, Matt Mohwinkel moved to Science Applications International Corporation to take the post of Business Compliance Director. Among his major achievements at the defense contractor, he managed systems integration relationships with strategic partners such as Cisco, Lucent, and Alcatel. Mr. Mohwinkel managed 26 executives and had annual revenues of $5 million.

In 2002, he accepted the position of Business Development Manager for CaseCentral, the supplier of electronic discovery systems and services. Matt Mohwinkel developed the business by opening the company's first Midwestern office and by pursuing both Big Four and Boutique partnerships to achieve annual sales of $3 million. He held a similar post at LawVault, a company that provides a platform for sharing legal documents between adversaries. Most recently, Mr. Mohwinkel worked as the National Business Development Executive for Xerox Corporation, selling electronic discovery services to Am Law 100 firms and Fortune 500 companies.
